Thinking of You cards

I made this card for my best friend Wendy...she had surgery and this was a little pick-me-up.

I loved making this "retro" card for my pal Jamie. She too had just had surgery and I just wanted her to know that I was thinking about her.
(The inside sentiment inside said: I hope your back in the "SWING" of things soon.)

Today I turned 40! I can't believe it. I guess what they say is true...you are only as old as you feel...and honestly I don't feel any older today than yesterday....maybe a few pounds heavier....hahaha.
In addition to me turning 40 my sweet son ADAM turns 16!!!
So here's a shout to him!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SON!

We have both been spoiled with LOTS of phone calls and treats. I don't think we have ever had so much CAKE at one time!
We had a lovely dinner at our favorite Mexican restaurant followed up with CAKE.
Thanks to everyone for the treat and all the special gifts. My friends rock!
The best gift of all though......
is a trip to Vegas this weekend to see my sis Rebecca, my sis Julie, my Mom and
my niece Brandi!
A girls only trip!
Whoo-Hoo!
A couple of days there and then the rest of the week in sunny SO CAL!!! I can't wait.

Mini retreat....

...well originally I had hoped to go away for the weekend to scrap, but I have been gone so much lately that I changed my mind. Actually my friends Nina and Lisa had second thoughts as well. We were hoping to have gone to Billings for the weekend but instead we are just going to hang out at Nina's place! Besides not having to drive in yucky weather...I'll be pretty close to home in case the kids need me. Len has to work nights this rotation, so having some supervision for the kids is better than none.
Anyhow, so I am getting a few things together to head over to Nina's and I am hoping that I will actually have something finished by the end of the weekend. Who knows maybe I'll have some thing to post and share about!!!

Home...

We got home last night about 7pm....I was so glad to sleep in my own bed!
Waiting for me when I got home was my latest Studio Calico Kit! I can't wait to get some scrapping done with this one!

Isn't this beautiful? I am so tickled that I won this lovely little RAK! Thanks to my fellow scrapper Kelly...all the way in Australia! I have been wanting this design card but everyone has been sold out. I am so excited to play with it...but it will have to wait till I get back from Atlanta!
